Kdysi tu zastavovaly osobní vlaky na trati směr Kralupy, pak nádraží nahradila zastávka Praha-Podbaba, která má lepší napojení na tramvaje a autobusy. Bývala tu nádražní restaurace, kde si člověk mohl dát pivo. Bylo odsud blízko do Stromovky. Naproti nádraží bývala ve skále proražená slepá kolej, sloužila údajně k ukrývání vlaků za války. Dnes už zde nejsou koleje. Nádraží zřejmě stále funguje, ale už ne pro cestující.
Once there, passenger trains stopped on the track in the direction of Kralupy, then the station was replaced by the Praha-Podbaba stop, which has better connections to trams and buses. There was a train station restaurant where you could have a beer. It was close to Stromovka. Opposite the station, a blind dormitory was pierced in the rock, supposedly hiding trains during the war. There are no dormitories here today. The station is still working, but not for passengers.

Pokaždé, když procházím kolem bývalého bubenečského nádraží, nostalgicky zavzpomínám na doby, kdy jsme odtud s čubinkou odjížděli na výlety podél Vltavy a před odjezdem se zastavili na pivo a utopence ve zdejší staré hospodě. Stanice v Bubenči byla uvedena do provozu společně s tratí Severní státní dráhy z Prahy do Lovosic v roce 1854. Z té doby pochází i jednopatrová staniční budova, která zatím stále stojí. V roce 2006 byla zrušena poslední odbočka do bývalé papírny v Císařském mlýně. Dnes k odbavení cestujících osobními vlaky linek S4 a S41 slouží nedaleká nová železniční zastávka Praha-Podbaba. The station in Bubeneč was put into operation together with the Northern State Railway line from Prague to Lovosice in 1854. The two-storey station building, which is still standing, dates back to that time. In 2006 the last branch to the former paper mill in Císařský mlýn was canceled. Today, the nearby new Prague-Podbaba railway station serves passengers using the S4 and S41 passenger trains.
