For those who do'nt have eyes only for the beautiful Loreta building by the Masters of Czech Baroque - Kryštof and Kylián Ignác Dientzenhofers. Await the recently reopened and mostly turists deserted gardens from 1693, with the monumental Sala Terrena of the Early Baroque Czernin Palace. One of the largest baroque building, planning by Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini, however in fact builded by an architect Francesco Caratti. After the death of Caratti continued by Domenico Rossi, who created the facade with two balconies. But mainly an architect Franz Maxmilián Kaňka, who authored the terraces of the upper pool, water cascades and the pavilion, serving as an orangery. Open daily just till 5 p.m....

Černín Palace is the longest Baroque building in Prague. When the Warsaw Pact was formed in 1955, it was a response to the formation of NATO and cemented the rising tide of the Cold War. Years later, right within this Černín Palace, the dissolution of the military alliance that grouped the Soviet Union and other Eastern European nations was the final step towards the end of the Eastern Bloc, to the Cold War and ultimately to the USSR. Today it is the headquarters of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been that way since the formation of Czechoslovakia except during World War II when it housed the Nazi Reichsprotektor. I was actually really surprised that as a government building and an important ministry, security was completely invisible. No barricades nor security checks. I could stand right in the courtyard.

Stunning building. There are days it's open to public, maybe once or twice a year (another reviewer says May 8th and September 28th). You can then see some really interesting historical interiors

A beautiful building with stunning interiors. It was in here that foreign minister Jan Masaryk, son of the first president, died in 1948, according to a 2004 police investigation as a result of murder. Note that the palace is not open to the public.

unfortunately I only got to see the outside of this building. it's a very large building and I really like the columns running down the sides.it's currently uses Government Administrative building and I'm not sure what you have to do to get inside. I had a quick picnic here because it was between two beautiful buildings
