Sloužil jako letohrádek, později brusírna kamene, poté pila, kartounka a papírna. O existenci mlýna máme doklady ze 14. století. Na konci 16. století koupil mlýn císař Rudolf II. a záhy zde začal stavět nový objekt. Vypracováním návrhu byli patrně pověřeni A. Valenti a G. Gargiolli. Vlastními staviteli byli U. Aostali a G. Brocco.
The Embassy of Georgia is located in the interesting premises of an older medieval mill. From the end of the 16th century it was owned by the imperial court. It served as a summerhouse, later a stone cutting room, then sawmill and paper mill. The existence of the mill is documented from the 14th century. At the end of the 16th century the mill was bought by Emperor Rudolf II. and soon began building a new object. Apparently A. Valenti and G. Gargiolli were entrusted with the preparation of the proposal. The builders themselves were U. Aostali and G. Brocco.
