★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not very close to station, better to have connecting vehicle if holding big luggage. Really a five stars hotel, (have slippers). Good supporting service (but the morning staff hasn’t arranged our shuttle bus well, but the evening staff helped to fix all finally). Historical building. A walking distance to the main tourist attraction. Beautiful sunset just a arm-reach area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great stay at Hotel Ruze - great location, good breakfast, nice room, super helpful staff and we enjoyed the spa and massage a lot, all of that at a great price.
I would work only on a few things. The restaurant's selection is very poor , kong size bed is not 2×single bed.
We will for sure visit the hotel again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Ruze is affordable luxury. Just do it. Plus if something isnt perfect, Front Office Manager Michele Pecorella will make it go right again in seconds!
The Czech Republic is still developing as a modern service culture, but having a real live Italian on site smooths over everything. Get a room high up for the wondrous views. Massage highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2 stars only for the historical building and view. Me and my partner booked a double-bed room for a romantic getaway at this 5 star hotel. The room itself was clean but with some things of questionable quality (bathroom faucet was very wobbly, blow drier not working) but the biggest surprise was that the double bed we thought we booked were actually 2 single beds put next to each other with a thin double mattress over them. We gave it a chance the first night but it was impossible to sleep as a couple together because the middle part was very uncomfortable. Next day when we asked reception if it is possible to get an actual double bed the reply was very Czech: "In this hotel you will not get it." as apparently all rooms have 2 single beds so it is easier for them to split in order to accommodate people who want to sleep separate. First of all, an actual 5 star hotel should not be telling these excuses to a paying customer, as the fact that this should be considered false advertising for starters. Let me be clear: Two single beds put together are not one double bed no matter how much you try to convince paying customers about it. Then we were then told that the only double beds are in 2 rooms with deluxe king-size beds. We did not want to pay for deluxe king-size beds, we just wanted a regular standard size double bed that was advertised and paid for at 5 star prices in a European country. Not only we were receiving excuses, but we did not receive the level of comfort that we paid for and was advertised so we cannot really recommend this hotel to anyone other than for it's history and views which is why I gave the 2 star review. Hotel itself is at an actual 3 star level to be honest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It supposed to be a 5 star hotel. We also paid 5 star prices. but I think the hotel should have 3 stars. The shower was terrible and the hotel was understaffed. after making a complaint, they did try to make us feel better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff but subpar hotel. Rooms are small, and bathrooms lack a shower curtain/glass shower door to prevent water from puddling the floor. Bed is stiff. Noise travels easily. On a positive note, there's a vast selection of complimentary breakfast options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Ruze in beautiful Cesky Krumlov gets a 10 Star rating in my opinion. My wife and I stayed there recently and we were extremely impressed with everything about the hotel, - the unique decor, the cleanliness, the polite, welcoming staff, the friendly service and the delicious food. They even have a pool and spa. So I speak from many years experience as a managing director of a large resort in America when I say that Hotel Ruze is undoubtedly a very well managed hotel. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with such sincere friendliness, and the front desk staff will spend as much time with you as you need, providing you with information about the hotel and about the amenities and sites in Cesky Krumlov. As we were checking in, Manager Michele and front desk agent Renan were so very courteous and helpful. The climate controlled room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable. And the following morning when we arrived in the breakfast room we were again greeted with such a genuine smile and welcoming attitude from the breakfast room supervisor Andreika. She was so attentive and ready to help us with any of our questions or needs. And the buffet breakfast was absolutely fabulous with more choices than you could ever need. And when we checked out of the hotel, we were again greeted by Front desk Manager Michel and his assistant, Yana. And once again, we were treated like friends of the family as opposed to "hotel guests." The conversation we had with Michele and Yana when checking out was actually heartwarming. What incredibly nice, caring people they are. All of the staff we met at Hotel Ruze seemed to have that great blend of professionalism and personal warmth in their character, which makes such a difference in how comfortable you feel being their guests. So it was truly and delightful experience staying at Hotel Ruze and meeting people like Michele, Yana, Andreika and Renan. They make you feel like you arrived as a guest but are departing as a friend. So again I would highly recommend Hotel Ruze to anyone visiting Cesky Krumlov. You will not be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location in Cesky Krumlov by the river then overlooking the UNESCO Medieval town is superb, not to mention the proximity to museums, the historic castle, shops, and restaurants. The hotel itself is quite historic, being centuries old and originally a former dormitory for Jesuit priests, and later for various military housing. It is decorated in a very Rustic style with wood floors, wood ceilings with beams, dark antique furniture, Medieval looking paintings and throw rugs. Service was very good. There was some difficulty communicating with staff due to the language barrier, but we are in their country so we aren't bothered whatsoever by this. There were some small inconveniences in the set up of the bathroom such as very little area to put our toiletries, lack of wash cloths, and a blow dryer that you have to hold the on button to keep it on which is tiresome if you have a lot of locks like I do. Back to the good stuff, the breakfast was excellent from A to Z and their coffee machine was much better than most places with the quality of cappuccinos and variety of choices. The front desk people were so welcoming and helpful. We are well traveled and choosy people and we loved it here.
