The first written mention of the village with church dates back to 1125. On the site of the present church, the previous one stood at the beginning of the 12th century, probably around 1132. A massive late Baroque one-nave church was built on the site of a Romanesque church in the years 1766–1770. The interior is rococo from the second half of the 18th century. Around the church there is a former cemetery bounded by a enclosure wall, which on the south side passes into a terraced wall.
