★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Adjacent to St Virus is the Old Provosty that was once the seat of the bishop. At the corner of the building, what looks like someone took a bite off its side, is a statue of St Wenceslas.
The obelisks that stands in the courtyard surrounded by renaissance buildings is the memorial to victims of the First World War.
The renaissance buildings are actually new annexes to the Old Royal Palace, part of the original construction of the castle residence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the oldest stone dwelling house in Bohemia is the remnant of the old seat of the Prague bishop. The first bishop of Prague was since 976 Dětmar (Tietmar) followed by st. Adalbert, but this archaeologically documented stone building served only to their followers, only two wooden log cabins were built here during life og the 1st bishops. The stone house was built in the core in the first half of the 11th century. After the fire, the object was rebuilt on a larger scale in the mid-12th century, later in the Gothic and Renaissance styles. The eastern side with a Romanesque associated window is the only surviving remnant of an ancient bishop's residence. The southwestern corner is decorated with a beautiful sandstone statue of st. Wenceslas by Jan Jiří Bendl from 1662. Famous architect Josef Mocker had a flat and office in the building.
V budově měl byt a kancelář architekt Josef Mocker.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small unassuming building beside the St. Vitus Cathedral. It is also close to the obelisk. The building itself has an interesting pattern and similar in colour to the other buildings nearby.
