Royal

This is a scam. Paid & booked online only to turn up with the bloke saying he didn't have any record of a booking reservation. The payment already processed within a few hours of 'booking' online. He claimed the booking was taken by another company which they have nothing in common with (except the address, and business name, as per our confirmation). Suspicious. Shameful.

nice car and nice place to rent it. i liked it. manager advised where to go (cesky krumlov) and other places but little time so i was only in krumlov. czech people were friendly but some looked not really charming at first sight. trip was ok but it rained sometimes

Absolutely worst experience on a trip .The representative who met us late in airport lounge did not speak a word of English .did not seem to know that we had already paid and kept trying to charge my card on his portable credit card machine .I had to try and find someone who spoke English to explain we had already paid .after half hour we left in a beaten up car which I had not ordered with engine trouble .light as soon as I switched on ignition .I showed this to the representative and he said "good car " .I gave up trying to tell him anything as it was useless and I just wanted to get out of there .when we tried to leave airport we found out that we had to pay in Czech money just to leave the lot .they could have at least told us something about that .another 15 minutes were spent just to try and figure that out .the car had zero gas and I had to stop immediately to fill gas .the navigation was in Czech and i had to stop to figure out to change it to English and then it directed me via a very long route to Cesky Krumlov where i was headed .I could not drive more than 50 km/hr as the engine started making noise .I reached my destination in 5 hours rather than 2 hours which i expected to completely exhausted and stressed because of the horrible car rental experience wishing that I had taken the bus instead or rented from a national chain company . I was charged 400 Euros as deposit and today i found they had refunded 400 Euros but with an unfavorable exchange rate costing me ten extra dollars and thats when I decided to write the review about this truly unscrupolous business .My email has also not been returned written a month ago .it appears theres none who speaks English in the entire place which I found out when i returned my car the next day in Prague . Luckily we otheriwse had a fantastic experience in Cesky Krumlov and then Prague but this was a miserable start to our family vacation

Horrible experience, incredibly bad service! Represetative was very rough and unpleasant, taking in very bad way, disguising customer service! Tring to rend a car for two days, every time we were coming to the office(although, they had free drop off and pick up within Prague) he was asking for new documents and unrelevant information. Very suspicious staff! Avoid this company!

Rented a Citroën C4 automatic for a day this week and it was delivered to our hotel only about 15 minutes late in the morning by a very charming and likeable gentleman accompanied by another rather less likeable gentleman. Fortunately, we had little to do with the latter until we took the car back. We drove over 200 km during the day so the rental cost 68€00. The car was more than satisfactory, though not cleaned beforehand on the outside. There was meant to be 20% of a tank of petrol in the car at the start, but in fact it was as near as possible to empty. Be careful. Delivery of the car to your hotel in Prague is included in the rental fee. With this company, return of the car is not - it will cost you an extra 400 crowns if you leave it at your hotel. We decided to drive the car back to the rental the next day - again be careful to leave enough time. There are a large number of one-way streets in Prague. Unfortunately, the charming gentleman was not at the office, so we were in the hands of the not so charming one and another equally uncivilized gentleman. We were received rudely and I got the impression that they were none too pleased that a) we had delivered the car to the agency so they couldn't charge more; b) that there was no damage to the car and c) that we had indeed left 20% of a tank of petrol in the car, although they had not. In any case, they did their best to be disagreeable. The word 'Royal' had absolutely nothing to do with our reception in their office, and there was no hint of even basic manners in their behaviour. 'A vos risques et périls' as they say in French.

The staff was very friendly, we booked a car very last minute (about 30 minutes in advance, we decided to take a day trip), but everything was ready for us when we arrived. The staff spoke little English, but it was not a problem at all, they arranged everything and sent us on our way quickly. The rental price is very reasonable and the location is convenient to the historic center and the train station. Note: almost all the street parking in the center of Prague is reserved for residents, so be prepared to park in a garage. There is a parking garage across the street and down a few buildings which is 30-50 koronas (about 1.10-1.80 euros) per hour and is accessible 24 hours a day. This is about half what you pay in mall parking.

The owner (Alex) is a great guy to deal with and I always deal with him. I have been using Royal off and on since 2008 for renting cars when needed. If you need a driver please note that their drivers usually speak little to no English. Do not be confused with the other Royal rent car company that is scamming people and using their name.

We got a driver and went to Munich with co-workers. Driver was surprisingly fun to be with. I would recommend to anyone visiting Prague. 10/10
