The simple chapel of an oval ground plan of unknown consecration (originally maybe St. Louis) on a former vineyard in today's Seminary Garden is in it´s infancy associated with the Order of Discalced Carmelites. It was probably built in the first half of the 18th century, but also could be a modification of an older building. František Ekert mentions a hermitage with the Infant Jesus Chapel, which was supposed to be built by Elizabeth, Countess Oppersdorf, as early as 1659. However, the first certain time is 1769, when it was captured on Huber's prospectus. After the abolition of the Carmel in 1786, the monastery garden was transferred to the property of the Archbishop's Seminary, and perhaps the chapel served as an astronomical observatory (it´s use "for scientific purposes" was still mentioned in 1903).

There is magnificent place in 12.00 everyday. It is time for Petrin bells and magic sounds in apple garden. Highly recommended!
